FAQ

Does sleep training mean ‘Cry it out’?

I’m not going to sugar coat this: babies and toddlers cry to protest change. While there will likely be some crying, sleep training does not have to mean crying it out. Together we find a method that feels right for you and your child.

Will sleep training hurt my child or ruin the child-parent attachment?

There have been no scientific studies to prove that sleep training will hurt your child or ruin the child-parent attachment. Actually, some studies show an improvement in the security between child and parent following sleep training.

What age can I start sleep training?

For babies younger than 4 months, the focus is on a solid foundation of healthy sleep habits. Setting the stage, so to speak. For children 4 months to 4 years, we focus on implementing sleep training methods to achieve your family’s sleep goals.
